Our Dual Language Immersion Program is designed to foster bilingualism, biliteracy, and cross-cultural understanding through a dynamic curriculum that immerses students in both English and Spanish. Position Overview: We are looking for enthusiastic teachers who are fluent in Spanish and English and have a strong commitment to teaching young children in a bilingual and culturally rich environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working in education, a deep understanding of the benefits of dual-language learning, and a drive for creating an inclusive, nurturing classroom that supports the development of the whole child. Key Responsibilities: Teach students in both Spanish and English (80/20 model), delivering instruction in core subjects (language arts, math, science, social studies, and social-emotional learning). Create a positive, engaging, and inclusive classroom environment where students feel safe, supported, and excited to learn. Plan and implement developmentally appropriate lessons and activities that align with both district and state curriculum standards. Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of all students, ensuring both language acquisition and academic growth. Collaborate with other teachers, staff, and families to support the academic and social-emotional development of students. Participate in professional development and collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching practices. Foster a love of language and culture, promoting bilingualism and biliteracy in both Spanish and English. Qualifications: Bachelor''s degree or equivalent experience in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, or a related field. Current MN Teaching Certification or equivalent experience allowing for a variance or provisional license. Fluency in both Spanish and English. Strong understanding of child development and effective teaching strategies for early learners. Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills. Passion for working with children and fostering a positive, inclusive, and culturally responsive learning environment. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with dual-language immersion programs or language acquisition strategies. Knowledge of literacy and language development in both Spanish and English.
