POSITION: Social Worker/School Counselor 1.0 FTE
LOCATION: Le Center PK-8/Montgomery PK-8
Tri-City United Schools serves the communities of Le Center, Lonsdale, & Montgomery
STARTING DATE: 2026-2027 School Year, first day of new teacher workshop is August 25, 2026
SALARY RANGE: $45,500-$75,125 based on qualifications and years of experience
Per the Tri-City United ISD 2905 Master Teacher Agreement
BENEFITS: Insurance, retirement and paid time off
REPORTS TO: Building Administration and Director of Special Services

LICENSURE: MN licensure as a School Social Worker or a School Counselor
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPECTATIONS:
- Support middle school students and staff to ensure students can thrive academically and emotionally in the school environment.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and administrators to create intervention strategies that address barriers to student success.
- Identify and connect students with family, school, and community resources to maximize their educational experience.
- Provide both individual and group counseling to students and their families.
- Act as a resource for school staff regarding the identification and reporting of child abuse or neglect.
- Partner with community organizations and mental health professionals to support students'' well-being.
- Help school staff recognize how factors in a child''s home, school, and community may influence their academic performance and behavior.
- Perform additional duties as needed.
