Position: Part-Time Upper School Social Studies Teacher Reports to: Upper School Principal Position Overview Marshall School is seeking a part-time grade 7-12 social studies teacher. A love for teaching adolescents, a passion for social studies education, and a commitment to student-centered education. A strong desire to work closely with students and colleagues in and out of the classroom. Strong content knowledge, pedagogy, and the ability to teach a variety of social studies subjects. Preferred Qualifications: 2+ years of teaching experience Relevant and recent successful teaching experience in a middle or high school setting. Qualifications and Salary


Required Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in social studies field or education or similar. 

  • A love for teaching adolescents, a passion for social studies education, and a commitment to student-centered education.

  • A strong desire to work closely with students and colleagues in and out of the classroom.

  • Strong content knowledge, pedagogy, and the ability to teach a variety of social studies subjects. 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • 2+ years of teaching experience

  • Relevant and recent successful teaching experience in a middle or high school setting. 

  • Masters degree in a social studies field or education

  • Experience in an independent school

21-30 years $55,214 - $65,035/year    

31-40 years $61,055 - $72,559/year
