Greenway has an established and growing Agriculture program and is seeking an applicant to take over it''s operation. We are open to expanding programming based on applicants areas of interest and experience. Thorough planning and preparation, creating a positive, motivating classroom environment, providing high quality daily instruction, maintaining accurate records, communicating with other staff and families, and growing professionally are all essential aspects of the position. Enthusiastic applicants are expected to be life-long learners in a student-focused environment that are creative, flexible, and team orientated. Our current class offerings include MN Wildlife Management, Natural Resources & Ecology, Floral Design, Horticulture, Plant Science, Animal Science, Food Science and more including introductory exploratory courses for middle school students. Greenway Agriculture has the exciting opportunity to partner with the IASC NEXT Career Pathways in several areas. Check out the Natural Resources Pathway . The position includes the advisory role of the FFA program that has been established with multiple students returning in roles within the program leadership and experience in regional and state competitions. The district also has collaborative opportunities with Itasca Community College, University of Minnesota Extension Research facilities. QUALIFICATIONS: Current Minnesota teaching license in Agriculture. Knowledge of applicable federal and state laws regarding education and students. Ability to use computer network system and software applications as needed. Ability to organize and coordinate work. Ability to communicate effectively with students and parents. Ability to engage in self-evaluation with regard to performance and professional growth. Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with others contacted in the course of work. Duties: This teacher will collaborate with the other teachers in our CTE programming in Industrial Arts, and Business Ed. in the programming for all 7-12 students. Provide a cover letter, resume and 3 current written reference letters along with completing the online application.
