Community Christian School is seeking a permanent Band Director for grades 5?12 beginning Fall 2026. This role leads our band program with focus in musicianship, student growth, and a positive classroom culture. Key Responsibilities Plan and teach band classes for grades 5?12, including beginning and advanced instruction. Build musical skills through effective rehearsals, sectionals, and performance preparation. Select appropriate repertoire that supports student development and program goals. Organize and lead performances, concerts, chapel participation (as applicable) Assess student progress and communicate clearly with students and families. Maintain instruments, inventory, and music library; coordinate repairs and rentals as needed. Collaborate with faculty and administration to support students and school initiatives. Provide a safe, structured learning environment aligned with school expectations and values. Qualifications Degree in Music Education or related field (or equivalent experience). Valid teaching license (or ability to obtain appropriate licensure). Experience teaching band to middle and/or high school students preferred. Strong classroom management, organization, and communication skills. Willingness to support the mission and Christian culture of the school.
