POSITION SUMMARY:
Develop and provide Early Childhood Special Education Extended School Year (ESY) programming, based on students'' Individual Educational Plans (IEPs), at the District Services Center, for 16 days.

- work in a supportive and collaborative manner with colleagues and supervisors, including managing paraprofessionals;
- communicate with parents;
- establish and maintain standards of student behavior to achieve an effective learning atmosphere;
- create communication systems and daily schedules;
- create successful functional and social lessons, based on student IEP goals;
- create academic lessons, using visual strategies, based on student IEP goals; and
- analyze weekly data to write end of program progress reports.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- License Required: A Minnesota Teaching license in: Early Childhood Special Education, K-12 DCD, ABS, EBD, ASD and/or LD.
- Experience...
- providing developmental skill instruction in the areas of reading, language arts, math and social skills curriculum;
- creating classroom structures and routines;
- creating, modeling, and carrying out classroom behavior expectations;
- using self-regulation strategies and sensory regulation; and
- using augmentative communication, picture symbols, and other visual communication tools
