Chamberlain School District is seeking a passionate and dedicated Special Education Teacher to join our team. The Special Education Teacher will provide individualized instruction and support to students with diverse learning needs, ensuring access to a high-quality education in alignment with state and federal guidelines. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in differentiated instruction, knowledge of special education processes and compliance, and a commitment to fostering an inclusive environment where all students can succeed. Responsibilities include: Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) Provide direct instruction and support to students with disabilities Monitor student progress and adjust instruction based on data Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, and families Ensure compliance with IDEA and South Dakota special education regulations Maintain accurate documentation and participate in required meetings Foster a positive, structured, and supportive learning environment Qualifications: Bachelor?s degree in Special Education or related field Valid South Dakota teaching certification in Special Education or ability to obtain certification Knowledge of IEP development, progress monitoring, and behavior supports Strong communication, organizational, and collaboration skills The district offers a competitive pay and benefits package, along with a sign-on bonus.
