Start Your Online Application Now Job Posting: Head Boys Basketball Coach Position Title: Head Boys Basketball Coach Location: Eagle Ridge Academy, Minnetonka Minnesota Start Date: Year Round Application Deadline: 5/1/2026 Position Overview: Eagle Ridge Academy is seeking a passionate, dedicated, and student-centered individual to serve as the Head Boys Basketball Coach. The ideal candidate will lead the development of a high-performing basketball program grounded in strong relationships, clear expectations, and a long-term vision for success. This role emphasizes building a cohesive K?12 program with intentional structures that support athlete development at every level. Key Responsibilities: Lead and manage all aspects of the boys'' basketball program (Varsity, JV, C, and youth levels) Design and implement a comprehensive K?12 player development model aligned in philosophy, terminology, and skill progression Establish and maintain program-wide standards for culture, competitiveness, effort, and accountability Develop practice plans, game strategies, and offseason training that support long-term athlete growth Create and support youth camps, clinics, and feeder program opportunities to build continuity Collaborate with lower school and middle school staff/coaches to ensure alignment and consistency Promote high expectations for student-athletes in the classroom, on the court, and in the community Build strong relationships with players, families, staff, and the broader school community Supervise and mentor assistant and youth coaches within the program Ensure compliance with school, conference, and state athletic association policies Qualifications: Previous coaching experience preferred (head coaching experience a plus) Strong understanding of long-term athlete development and program building Knowledge of basketball fundamentals, systems, and skill progression across age levels Proven ability to build a positive, disciplined, and competitive team culture Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills Commitment to academic excellence and character development Valid coaching certification and/or teaching license Ability to pass background check requirements Preferred Attributes: Experience building or leading a comprehensive youth-to-varsity program Commitment to leadership development and character education Ability to engage and grow participation at all levels of the program Willingness to be actively involved in the school community Compensation: Based on experience and district coaching salary schedule Application Process: Interested candidates should submit the following: Letter of interest Resume References (3) Please apply online at: Eagle Ridge Academy Careers About Eagle Ridge Academy: Eagle Ridge Academy is the first public school in the southwest suburban area specifically dedicated to offering a demanding college-preparatory, Classical, liberal arts curriculum.
