Middle School Instrumental Music Teacher / Band Director (1.0 FTE) Litchfield Middle School Start Date: August 25, 2026 Tentative Interview Dates: Week of April 27, 2026 Position Open Until Filled Litchfield Middle School is seeking a passionate, student-centered Instrumental Music Teacher and Band Director to join our vibrant music department beginning with the 2026?2027 school year. This is a full-time (1.0 FTE) position working with students in grades 5?8 in a supportive and collaborative environment. Why Join Litchfield? Position Responsibilities The successful candidate will: Teach middle school instrumental music, grade 5 and direct band ensembles in grades 6?8 Collaborate closely with the district?s music team to ensure a cohesive and vertically aligned program Assist with and support the summer marching band program Middle school summer marching band High school marching band program assistant Foster a positive, inclusive classroom culture that encourages musical growth, creativity, and performance excellence District Highlights Located just one hour west of the Twin Cities metro area, Litchfield offers a welcoming small-town atmosphere with convenient access to metropolitan amenities Member of the Wright County Conference, providing strong regional collaboration and performance opportunities A 1:1 Apple district ? all students use iPads, and teachers are provided with both MacBooks and iPads to support instruction and creativity Strong community and administrative support for performing arts programs Compensation and Benefits Litchfield Public Schools offers a competitive salary and benefits package.
