PHYSICAL EDUCATION TEACHER - MINNEOTA PUBLIC SCHOOLS Minneota Public Schools is seeking applications for a full-time Physical Education Teacher. ABOUT THE COMMUNITY/SCHOOL DISTRICT Minneota is located in Southwest Minnesota, approximately 12 miles northwest of Marshall. POSITION SUMMARY Under the direction of the Principal, the successful candidate for this position will assume responsibility for providing physical education instruction to students. This role is responsible for promoting students? physical fitness, health, and overall well-being through structured physical activity and education. They create a positive and inclusive environment where students develop motor skills, teamwork, and healthy lifestyle habits. QUALIFICATIONS Must possess a valid license as a Physical Education teacher in the State of Minnesota. Experience teaching physical education is preferred but not required. Passionate about working with students from all grades. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Collaborate with other teachers and administrators to align curriculum and improve instructional practices. Encourage teamwork, sportsmanship, and respectful behavior Establish and maintain effective working relationships with school administration, parents, students, teachers, support staff, and community members and follow through in a timely manner. Foster a positive school culture that promotes an environment of responsibility and respect. Identify and support students with learning differences or additional needs. Plan and implement age-appropriate physical education lessons aligned with curriculum standards Promote physical fitness, health education, and injury prevention Teach a variety of activities such as team sports, individual fitness, and movement skills SALARY/CONTRACT A highly competitive compensation and benefits package will be negotiated based upon the successful candidate?s background and experience. SALARY RANGE $49,344 per year to $77,909 per year, depending on education and experience.
