A fast-growing school district located near the banks of Lake Waconia and approximately 25 miles west of Minneapolis, Waconia Public Schools serves 4,000 students and their families from the communities of Waconia, Victoria, Minnetrista, Saint Bonifacius, and New Germany. School District facilities include an educational services and enrichment center, area learning center, three elementary schools (K-5), one middle school (6-8), and one high school (9-12). Position Summary: The candidate hired for this position will provide assistance to students with special needs and support to teachers in the implementation of daily lesson plans and activities. Hours: Monday - Thursday 7:30am-2pm, depending on the program hours can vary . There will be options for full or half days in June depending upon placement. Qualifications: An A.A. degree, at least two years of study at an institution of higher education (a minimum of 60 semester credits), or a passing score on the ParaPro assessment. Information on the ParaPro Assessment can be found at https://www.ets.org/parapro . Experience working with children with disabilities and/or in a classroom or educational setting is preferred. Salary: Pursuant to the Educational Support Professionals'' Collective Bargaining Agreement, this is a Grade 9 position with the hourly rate from $17.85- $23.58 based on experience Position Start Date: June 15th, 2026 Application Procedure: Qualified candidates should apply online at www.isd110.org.
