Position Title: Educational Assistant Lead Salary Range: $55,000.00 - $60,000.00 Reports To: Chief Academic Officer Status: Exempt, Full-Time 40+ hours a week Contract Type: 11 month contract One (1) week off in June One (1) week off in August. Two (2) weeks off in December One (1) week off for Spring Break. In this way, the Educational Assistant Lead advances HOPE''s vision of a Culture of Learning by strengthening the very foundation upon which teaching and learning rest, which is the daily interactions between scholars, teachers and daily classroom instruction and academic outcomes. Through the intentional development, coaching, and alignment of Educational Assistants, the Educational Assistant Lead ensures that support within classrooms is not passive, but purposeful. Every intervention, redirection, and moment of guidance becomes an opportunity to deepen understanding, build confidence, and reinforce a scholar''s capacity to grow. This leader recognizes that Educational Assistants are not simply aides to instruction, but essential partners in shaping the academic and developmental journey of each student. By leading classroom support with clarity and vision, the Educational Assistant Lead helps create coherence across learning environments, where expectations are consistent, support is strategic, and scholars experience individualized care. This role calls for a deep belief that all students can learn, and that the adults who support them must be equally developed, empowered, and held to a standard of excellence. PRIMARY DUTIES Management and Leadership. Lead and develop Educational Assistants (EAs) to ensure consistent, high-quality classroom support aligned to instruction and student needs. The Lead collaborates with teachers and leadership to implement effective interventions, strengthen classroom systems, and continuously improve support practices. The role also oversees performance, observation, scheduling, coordination, and communication to ensure EAs are equipped for success in the classroom and throughout the school. Instructional Alignment & Classroom Support. Partner with CAO and classroom teachers todesign and implement systems to ensure EAs provide consistent, high-quality support across classrooms. Collaborate with teachers to align support with instructional goals, differentiation strategies, and student needs while ensuring interventions are purposeful and data-driven. This role also monitors classroom environments to maintain consistency in expectations, routines, and effective support practices. Scholar Support. Oversee targeted academic and behavioral support for students by holding Educational Assistants accountable for effectively serving diverse learners. At HOPE, EAs are an extension of licensed teachers, translating classroom instruction into accessible learning experiences and meaningful adaptations that support student growth. Collaboration & Partnership. Partner with teachers, instructional leaders, the Chief Impact Officer, and operations staff to ensure EAs are fully supported and set up for success at HOPE. This includes coordinating supervision and coverage across hallways, lunch, arrival, and dismissal to maintain a safe, structured, and well-functioning school environment. Data Evaluation & Continuous Improvement. Partner with academic leaders to analyze student achievement data to make informed instructional support decisions and hold EAs accountable for their impact on classroom outcomes. Educational Assistant Responsibilities. In addition to leading and developing EAs, the Education Support Lead will provide direct classroom support to students and teachers as needed. However, this responsibility is secondary, with the primary focus on mentoring, coaching, and building the capacity of EAs. The breakdown of responsibilities will be 25% EA responsibilities and 75% lead responsibilities. REQUIREMENTS A Bachelors in education or related field is highly preferred.. A teacher''s license is preferred, but not required. 5 years of experience working in a school setting. Preference given to someone who has been in an EA or EA Lead position. Candidates must know the FASTBridge assessment tools including their intervention strategies and solutions. Experience with EDUClimber, Infinite Campus or similar data and student information platforms strongly preferred. Demonstrated ability to build relationships and work effectively with diverse populations Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills Commitment to equity, cultural responsiveness, and holistic family support. Experience with Hmong language programs, bilingual education, or multilingual learner programming preferred. Ability to partner with teachers and provide coaching and support to teachers regarding student behavior. Ability to do home visits and build relationships with families, students, and the community. Deep commitment to educational equity, cultural responsiveness, and HOPE''s mission and strategic priorities. Excellent communication, collaboration, and community-engagement skills. Ability to interact effectively with scholars, families, and staff of diverse ethnic, cultural, and socioeconomic backgrounds. WORK ENVIRONMENT Duties are performed in a school environment; school building is a multi-level building that has an elevator and is accessible. May involve movement throughout the building to support scholars in classrooms, common areas, hallways, and offices. Possible exposure to loud environments (e.g., hallways during passing periods, cafeteria, gymnasium). Some evening hours may be required for school events, family engagement activities, and cultural programs.
