Hinckley-Finlayson High School Band Teacher 1.0 FTE for 2026-27 Job Description Hinckley-Finlayson High School is seeking a band teacher for students in grades 5 - 12 for the school year 2026-27. Institution Description Hinckley-Finlayson is a rural school district in east-central MN that celebrates learning! We offer students and families a wide range of tools to make their education successful. Our caring staff is dedicated, passionate and committed. We have made a promise to our students and families to be " The place where every student is known, valued and challenged to succeed" and everything we do, is done to fulfill that promise. Now offering robotics and engineering programs, as well as College in Schools (CIS), advanced World Language programs and Advanced Placement (AP) coursework to support our students'' educational growth. Hinckley-Finlayson staff members are experts at helping students with unique challenges develop to their fullest potential. Qualifications MN Teaching license K-1 2 Instrumental and Classroom Music Responsibilities - Maintaining accurate records of students? grades and attendance. - Participating in grade level and department meetings - Participating fully in all staff development and staff collaboration such as in-service, staff meetings, department work, committee work, parent teacher conference nights, etc. - Jr High and Concert Band - Pep Band (Additional Compensation) - Group and individual lessons for students in grades 5 through 12. - Large and Small Group Music Contests - Summer Band Program-Includes Marching Band and individual summer lessons for students in grade 5-8 (Additional Compensation). - This position is split between the two elementary schools and the high school.
