Math Teacher Position Overview We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Math Teacher for our high school students. The ideal candidate will inspire secondary learners and impact student learning daily with relevancy of math to real world situations that lead students to enrollment, enlisting, or employment. The Math teacher will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive Math curriculum according to the school?s program objectives to students; conducting instruction that is coherent, purposeful, and engaging; continually assessing student development and performance; preparing and providing feedback on student progress to students and families. Contribute to the life of the school outside the classroom by participating in school events, school committees, and professional development training. Prepares lessons that engage, and meet the individual needs and interests of students Adhere to and support a standards-based education Understand and utilize data to drive instruction. Use formative and summative assessments to monitor student performance. Maintain accurate, complete, and appropriate records. Supports Positive Behavior Interventions Supports (PBIS) Communicate, motivate, and build relationships with students Provide feedback to students and parents on a student?s progress at conferences and other meetings Actively participate in team meetings and Professional Learning Communities Integrate technology and media as appropriate to teach lessons that engage students and further enhance their knowledge. Value teaching in diverse cultural settings. Is a forward, solutions-based thinker. Perform all other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Supervisor Qualifications The minimum of a Bachelor''s Degree from an accredited college or university.
