Physical Education Teacher Position Overview We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Physical Education Teacher for our K-4th grade students. They organize and supervise athletic activity during class and instruct students on health, proper exercise routines, and technique. This position reports to the school principal. Prepare lesson plans and conduct daily classroom instruction in physical education/health at an appropriate instructional level Maintain a healthy learning environment for the students in both the gym and classroom. Supports Positive Behavior Interventions Supports (PBIS) Teach individual and team sports to students, utilizing knowledge of sports techniques and of physical capabilities of students. Organize, lead, instruct, and referee indoor and outdoor games. Teach and demonstrate proper calisthenics for individuals or groups in both beginning or advanced. Maintain a professional demeanor with students, parents, and colleagues Select, store, order, issue, and inventory equipment, materials, and supplies used in the physical education program. Maintain accurate, complete and appropriate records. Promote and foster the primary goals of the school and the Athletic Program Incorporate and promote a positive environment for all student athletes that nurtures self-esteem, high values, and life-long learning Actively participate in team meetings and Professional Learning Communities Values teaching in diverse cultural settings.
