The ideal candidate will create an engaging, student-centered classroom that fosters creativity, critical thinking, and artistic expression while aligning instruction to state standards. Key Responsibilities Develop and deliver engaging art lessons aligned to state and/or national standards. Design and implement a comprehensive art curriculum consistent with district goals and state standards Assess student learning using a variety of methods and provide timely, constructive feedback. Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of all learners, including students with special needs. Incorporate technology and instructional tools to enhance learning experiences. Create and maintain a safe, inclusive, and positive classroom environment conducive to learning. Develop and implement reasonable classroom rules and appropriate behavior management techniques. Establish and maintain standards of student behavior necessary for a productive learning environment. Maintain accurate and complete records of student progress, attendance, and grades in accordance with district policies. Maintain appropriate professional work habits, including punctuality and effective use of planning and preparation time. Collaborate with colleagues and participate in Professional Learning Communities (PLCs), staff meetings, and curricular development work. Work cooperatively with parents and guardians to support and reinforce each child''s educational experience. Respect and maintain confidentiality of student, family, and staff information in accordance with professional ethics and applicable laws. Perform other duties as assigned by the Principal or administration. Qualifications Licensure: Valid K-12 Minnesota teaching license in Visual Arts or the ability to obtain SALARY & BENEFITS: Depends on qualifications. Minimum starting salary is $60,000.
