Elementary Principal Eastview Education Center / Nature Based Education (PreK - K) 1.0 FTE Position Available July 1, 2026 Job Summary: Monticello Public Schools is seeking candidates for PreK-K Principal position to begin on July 1, 2026. We are seeking an exceptional leader who will be dedicated to collaborating with the staff as well as coordinate with our elementary and secondary administrative teams to establish and maintain a positive, inclusive, and effective environment for student success. The contract is a 12-month position. Salary range $124,671 - $136,192 based on experience along with a very competitive benefit package. Education and Certification Requirements: Required: Current MN administrative license as issued by BoSA Required: Current MN teacher (or equivalent) license as issued by PELSB Required: Valid Driver''s License Required: At least three years of full-time teaching experience Required: Evidence of experience in leadership roles Preferred Education and Experience: Preferred: Educational administration or educational leadership, or a closely related field Preferred: Current MN B-3 and/or Pre-K instructional license as issued by PELSB Essential Competencies Required to Perform the Work: Thorough understanding of pedagogy and best practices within education. Curriculum and curriculum trends as well as State and local requirements. Understanding of adult learning principles and group facilitation. Understanding of curriculum and MN academic standards. Ability to show initiative in resolving problems. Ability to assume responsibility, be well organized, execute initiatives from directives and approved self-initiatives. Ability to build open, honest and trustworthy relationships with people of various personality styles and behaviors, internally and externally. Ability to conduct and project one''s self in a professional and customer service-based manner.
