HOPE Community Academy is an accredited, public co-educational charter school comprised of primary,
intermediate, middle school, and high school levels. The entire school community seeks to provide a safe

socially, emotionally, and physically.

Hope Community Academy is seeking a passionate and dedicated Science Teacher to join our team. The
ideal candidate will have a strong background in teaching middle school and high school students, with a
focus on engaging and inspiring young minds in the field of physics.
Primary duties: (These duties are a representative sample; position assignments may vary.)
Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans that align with the school''s curriculum and
educational standards, with a specific emphasis on science concepts.
Create a supportive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student participation,
critical thinking, and hands-on experimentation in the field of science.
Utilize a variety of instructional strategies to accommodate different learning styles and abilities,
fostering a love for science in middle and high school students.
Evaluate student progress through assessments, projects, and experiments, providing
constructive feedback to support academic growth and development.
Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and administrators to ensure a cohesive educational
experience that supports the overall well-being and success of students.
Stay current with advancements in the field and integrate relevant technologies and resources
into teaching practices.
Professional Accountabilities:
Maintains professional competence by attending staff development programs, curriculum
development meetings and other professional activities.
Participates in various school events, staff meetings and extracurricular activities.
Performs any other related duties as assigned by the Principal or other appropriate administrator.
Serve as a role model for promoting effective instruction and professionalism
Qualifications:
Bachelor''s or Master''s degree in Education, Science, or a related field.
Teaching certification and licensure in Science Education.
Previous experience teaching middle school and/or high school students, with a focus on science.
Strong knowledge of physics concepts and principles, with the ability to effectively communicate
complex ideas in an engaging manner.
Excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills.
A passion for education and a commitment to creating a positive and stimulating learning
environment for students.
Working Environment:
Duties are normally performed in a school/classroom environment; school building is a multi-level
building that has an elevator and is accessible
Position requires extensive interaction with children of all ages
Duties may occasionally be performed on field trips away from school
Duties may occasionally be performed in outdoor environments, such as athletic fields or
playgrounds
Duties may occasionally be performed in varying weather conditions, such as hot or cold weather.
Possible exposure to loud and noisy locations (e.g. loud classrooms or cafeterias; children
speaking or laughing loudly).
