Start Your Online Application Now Health Assistant Summer School Location: Independence Elementary School Job Summary: Under the guidance and direction of the Licensed School Nurse, the Health Assistant is responsible for providing first aid and health care to students attending summer school; documenting and maintaining healthcare records and services taken within the building; providing medications to students in accordance with set policies and authorization from physicians; consults with parents, staff, students and others concerning problems or health care issues; prepares reports required of the building, district or state regarding health actions and activities. Qualifications: A combination of education, experience, and training necessary to perform the requirements of the work. Pediatric experience is preferred. License Requirements: No license is required but additional consideration will be given to candidates who are licensed by the State of MN as a Practical Nurse. Upon hiring the District may require the completion of various certifications while on-the-job such as CPR certification, Bloodborne Pathogen Training, and First Aid Training. Working Conditions: Program dates are M-Th, the weeks of June 8-25, July 6-16; Hours 7:45am-12:45pm Salary and Benefits: The salary range for the position is outlined on page 40 this agreement . This position is not eligible for benefits.
