Staples-Motley ISD2170 is accepting applications for a DEAN OF STUDENTS. Location: Staples-Motley Middle/High School Contract time: 190 - 200 days Start Date: 8/17/26 Salary & Benefits: $55,000-$75,000 Independent Work Agreement, PTO, Sick Leave, Annuity matching program, Health Insurance Posted: 4-23-2026 Application Deadline: 5-7-2026 or until filled Qualifications Degree in education, mental health, child development, or a related field Current Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) trainer or willing to be trained as trainer Leadership and Special Education knowledge Essential Duties and Responsibilities Under the direction of the School Principal, assist administrators, teachers, parents and students in resolving student attendance, behavioral and disciplinary problems in a consistent manner. Assist teachers, parents and students in resolving student issues in the school, relating to behavior and attendance Maintain records of student disciplinary actions taken in accordance with applicable laws, regulations and district policies Assist administrators, teachers and school attendance staff in addressing student attendance problems Instruct and advise students regarding their responsibility to adhere to school rules and policies; to foster a safe school environment, and to respect other individuals and property Observe students and classrooms to provide input on academic and behavioral strategies Collaborate with instructional staff to create a structured and supportive classroom environment Work with the Principal and building site team to promote a positive school culture. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
