Area Special Education Cooperative (ASEC) is proud to serve 11 member school districts in northwestern Minnesota. The cooperative supports Ada-Borup-West, Climax-Shelly, East Grand Forks, Fertile-Beltrami, Fisher, Fosston, Red Lake County Central, Red Lake Falls, Stephen-Argyle Central, Warren-Alvarado-Oslo, and Win-E-Mac. POSITION SUMMARY: The Autism Consultant supports member districts in the identification, evaluation, and programming of students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). This role provides consultation, coaching, and systems-level support to promote effective, evidence-based practices that improve student outcomes across educational environments. The Autism Consultant collaborates with IEP teams, educators, administrators, related service providers, and families to build staff capacity, strengthen programming, and support inclusive practices for students with ASD. 180-Day Contract Flexible Assignment based on the location of residence Competitive compensation based on on level of education and full years of licensed experience . SALARY RANGE: $48,719 ? $90,145/annually based on the 2026/27 master agreement. Health & Life Insurance, ESST & Personal Leave, 403B Matching and TRA Mileage provided at current Internal Revenue Service rate. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Education and Licensure: Current Minnesota teaching license in Special Education required. Licensure as a teacher of special education: autism spectrum disorders preferred, or ability to obtain within a timeline established by the employer. Additional special education licensure areas preferred. Bachelor?s degree in Special Education or related field required. Master?s degree in Special Education or related field preferred. Experience: Minimum of three years of experience working with students with Autism Spectrum Disorder preferred. Experience in consultation, coaching, or working across multiple settings preferred. Demonstrate d ability to provide consultation, coaching, and professional description to educational teams preferred.
