Position Type: Middle/High School Teaching Date Posted: 4/29/2026 Location: Kenyon-Wanamingo Middle-High School Date Available: 08/24/2026 Closing Date: Until Filled Kenyon-Wanamingo Schools is seeking a Band Teacher for Middle/High School for the 2026-2027 school year. The candidate should have strong subjective knowledge of teaching 5-12 instrumental music. Additional compensation and responsibilities include instructing extra-curricular jazz ensemble (schedule C stipend), pep band (schedule C compensation) and marching in the Memorial Day parades. The band performs two Large Concerts a year and performs at the Large Group and Small Group Music contest in addition to the Veterans Day performance during the school day. The teacher will be given autonomy to design a lesson program that best suits the needs of the students. This band program is enthusiastically supported by the parents, staff, and community! Requirements: Must hold a valid MN teaching license. Preferred Band, Classroom Music licensure Compensation : Salary Schedules for each employee group is detailed in each master agreement found on the website at kw.k12.mn.us under menu/district/employee contracts. In accordance with the Teacher Master Agreement found on the website at kw.k12.mn.us under menu/district/employee contracts. Salary range for 2026-2027 is $45,932 (BA, Step 1) to $83,299 (MA+30, Step 15) based on experience and education. View the Step/Lane Schedule in the KWEA Teacher Master Agreement. Long Term Sub positions are paid at BA, Step 1.
