ABOUT THIS ROLE
A Culture of Learning at HOPE is rooted in passion and a deep commitment to scholar impact. When teachers and staff feel empowered in the classroom and scholars are actively engaged in their own academic journey, HOPE thrives. The Instructional Coach is a key driver of HOPE''s Culture of Learning, grounded in the belief that all students can achieve at high levels when provided with rigorous, culturally responsive, and data-informed instruction. This role focuses on transforming teaching and learning by building teacher capacity, strengthening instructional systems, and ensuring equitable outcomes for all scholars. The Instructional Coach partners with teachers and leaders to cultivate joyful, standards-aligned classrooms that center student thinking, discourse, and conceptual understanding.
In alignment with HOPE''s commitment to whole-child and whole-family impact, the Instructional Coach also works to dismantle barriers to learning by fostering inclusive, culturally affirming classrooms where scholars feel a strong sense of belonging. By elevating student voice, encouraging productive struggle, and promoting a growth mindset, the coach helps create environments where joy and excellence coexist.
Ultimately, the Instructional Coach serves as both a thought partner and a change agent, empowering educators, strengthening instructional culture, and driving transformative outcomes so that every scholar experiences success and sees a future full of possibility through school. Through intentional coaching, modeling, individual student data assessment, and collaborative planning, this role develops teachers'' ability to design and deliver instruction that is both rigorous and accessible, ensuring all scholars, regardless of background, have access to high-quality academic experiences.

Data-driven Decisions. Lead data-driven practices by supporting teams to analyze individual student data, identify root causes, and implement targeted instructional responses that drive measurable achievement gains. Build and sustain equitable systems for progress monitoring, intervention, and enrichment to ensure all scholars access grade-level content and necessary supports.
Curriculum and Instructional Planning. Support the effective implementation of high-quality curriculum by co-planning rigorous, standards-aligned lessons that incorporate meaningful discourse and ongoing checks for understanding. Provide teachers with the tools, resources, and strategies needed to meet diverse learner needs and strengthen instruction across classrooms.
