Start Your Online Application Now Mental Health Behavioral Aide 0.7 FTE Job Summary: The Mental Health & ADSIS Behavioral Aide provides direct behavioral and academic support to students at the Kinder Center. This position supports students receiving special education services as well as students identified through the Alternative Delivery of Specialized Instructional Services (ADSIS) program. The aide collaborates with case managers, classroom teachers, and families to implement research-based interventions, monitor student progress, and foster positive social-emotional and academic outcomes. This role works under the Lower School/Kinder Center Principal with guidance from the Director of Special Education and Student Services. Salary Range: $23.40-26.40 Essential Functions: Collaborate with case managers, general education teachers, service providers, and families to meet the behavioral and academic needs of identified students. Implement evidence-based social/emotional/behavioral interventions for students in small group or one-on-one settings. Support students with emotional or behavioral challenges by teaching and reinforcing coping skills, self-regulation, and problem-solving strategies. Track and report student service hours, intervention data, and progress for ADSIS compliance and program evaluation. Maintain accurate time and effort logs in accordance with program and school requirements. Support Kinder Center staff with the implementation of behavior strategies and intervention plans. Participate in Intervention Support Team meetings. Collect data on interventions. Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress, intervention strategies, and behavioral support plans. Support Prevention Intervention (CPI) strategies as needed and document use according to policy. Required Qualifications: Experience working with students with emotional and behavioral disorders and/or academic intervention needs. Preferred Qualifications: Proficiency in Spanish and/or Mandarin Chinese preferred, but not required. Crisis Prevention Intervention certification. Training in Responsive Classroom. Experience in International Baccalaureate programs. Physical Requirements: This position requires vocal communication, hearing, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, reaching, standing, walking, sitting, pushing, pulling, use of hands to grasp and feel, and vision abilities including close, distance, and adjusting focus. Lifting/moving required frequently up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 40 pounds or more. Work occasionally requires exposure to bloodborne pathogens and is generally in a moderately noisy location. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
