A fast-growing school district located near the banks of Lake Waconia and approximately 25 miles west of Minneapolis, Waconia Public Schools serves more than 4,000 students and their families from the communities of Waconia, Victoria, Minnetrista, Saint Bonifacius, and New Germany. School District facilities include an educational services and enrichment center, area learning center, three elementary schools (K-5), one middle school (6-8), and one high school (9-12). Work Schedule: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday 8:00am-2:00pm, Wednesday 8:00am - 1:00pm. (Part-time) Position Summary: The Sibling Care Teacher Assistant will provide care to students in families attending ECFE classes. Children may be approximately 8 weeks to 4 years of age. Parents will not be with the child but will be in the building attending classes. Qualifications: A high school diploma or GED is required. Excellent communication skills and a demonstrated recognition, interest, and respect for the needs of young children are required. Previous experience with young children ages birth - four years old in a supportive, nurturing environment is required.
