St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic School seeks a principal starting in the 2026-2027 school year. St. Thomas Aquinas is a parish school in the Duluth diocese, founded in 1927, and has a rich tradition of student formation and academic excellence. St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic School serves students in grades PK-6th grade with a dedicated faculty and staff. We are seeking a fervent Catholic who is a servant leader. The principal is responsible for fostering a culture of Catholic mission and educational excellence. Candidates should understand the mission of Catholic education, excellent communication skills, strong leadership skills, and an entrepreneur/growth mindset. This position is responsible for the oversight of faith development; academic programing; management of school faculty and staff; overseeing student activities; financial matters including budget and income/expense management; fundraising; and legal, health, and safety for the students and school faculty and volunteers. The principal is responsible for the day-to-day operations and management of the school reporting directly to the pastor.
