About Blooming Prairie Public Schools The Blooming Prairie Intermediate/High school is composed of grades 5-12 and serves approximately 515 students. We provide a diverse curriculum that not only meets the state requirements but also allows all our students to explore their interests. In addition, we offer numerous college level classes and many of our students are able to graduate with college credit. We pride ourselves in being a school strong in technology. We have coding classes, STEM education, and Apple TVs. We are also a 1:1 device school, with each student having an I-Pad issued by the district. Outside of the school day, we provide numerous opportunities to be on sports teams and/or participate in music, the arts, robotics, and the trap team. Our staff is highly educated, and they continue to work to meet the needs of all learners. We provide ADSIS and special education programs as well as promote our PBIS, Prairie Pride, program. Our community provides tremendous support to our school system and many local businesses, and our Education Foundation, support our "extra" programs. Students who graduate from Blooming Prairie High School have the necessary skills to be successful in their next phase of life. At BPPS, we provide a well-rounded, quality education for all. Primary Responsibilities: Demonstrate knowledge of subject matter through effective teaching practices, with expectations of high student achievement. Assess student progress, modify instruction, and improve student learning. Communicate and collaborate with parents and the school community for the purpose of fostering individual student success and growth while engaging the families. Focus on improving instructional practice and student learning by participating in professional learning communities, showing professionalism, and growing professionally. Plan, organize, and teach competency-based industrial trades and agricultural courses. Foster and manage a safe, positive, and respectful learning environment for the purpose of promoting effective student behavior and success. Demonstrate effective classroom and equipment management. Develop and design activities to promote innovative industrial trades and agricultural programs. Develop professional relationships with outside agencies and programs. Order supplies, instructional materials, and equipment necessary for the program. Provide information and counsel students relative to employment, career opportunities and further education. Prepare and maintain students? academic assessment reports for institutional purposes. Implement and comply with District policies and procedures. Perform appropriate tasks as designated by the principal in relation to the responsibilities listed above. Qualifications To Meet the Minnesota State Requirements (Minn.
