Walker Hackensack Akeley School District is seeking a School Psychologist beginning the 2026-2027 school year. This position will be itinerant through PAWN Special Education for Walker Hackensack Akeley School District 113 and other PAWN Special Education Member Districts as assigned.
Current licensure preferred or the ability to obtain MN licensure. Candidates should have the ability to work as a team in planning and teaching to create a positive learning environment, as well as excellent verbal and written communication skills. Teachers at Walker Hackensack Akeley Schools are supported through staff development and a teacher mentoring program. We believe in supporting teacher growth and program success.
Qualifications:
- Masters in School Psychology and MN license in School Psychology (or ability to obtain)
- Experience in schools preferred
- Certification from the National Association of School Psychologists (or ability to obtain)
Position Summary:
- The school psychologist provides a full range of school psychological services to students ages Birth to 22 including screening and assessment, consultation and advisement, and program evaluation to help ensure that students'' needs are being met.
- Within the assigned district(s) actively participate in the multidisciplinary team throughout the process of problem solving interventions to child study through the assessment process and providing ongoing consultation to ensure students'' needs are being met.
- Collaborate with educators, administrators, support staff, families, and other mental health professionals to create safe, healthy and supportive learning environments for students and to strengthen connections between home and school.
- Team with other school psychologists across PAWN Special Education member districts to ensure student needs are met.
- Participate as an integral member of the PAWN Special Education Team to provide ongoing support, training, and services to the PAWN member districts.
Salary range: masters level position, $64,725-$80,724 depending on qualifications, comprehensive beneftis package.
