SUMMARY OF POSITION Three Rivers Montessori is seeking a passionate Elementary Teacher to also serve as our school-wide Literacy Lead. In this blended role, you will both teach in our lower elementary multi-age classroom and help guide the literacy culture of our school community. To be effective, you will need to collaborate across grade levels, manage multiple priorities, and bring a deep commitment to early literacy development. We work to cultivate a culture where we all learn and grow together. JOB DUTIES ? Conduct instruction according to individual student needs, with particular attention to literacy development across the K?2 continuum ? Develop and implement instructional materials and strategies that enrich and engage students in rigorous, relevant reading and writing experiences ? Serve as the school''s Literacy Lead: support colleagues with literacy best practices, coordinate literacy assessments, and help analyze schoolwide reading data to inform instruction ? Collaborate with staff to align literacy programming with Montessori principles ? Provide an honest, respectful, caring, and safe environment for all students ? Contribute to meeting the mission, vision, and values of the school QUALIFICATIONS ? Valid Minnesota teaching licensure in respective area (Grades K?6) ? Demonstrated knowledge of and experience with literacy instruction, including phonics, reading comprehension, and writing development ? Effective oral and written communication skills ? Willingness to engage in ongoing professional development, including literacy-focused training ? Committed to participating in further training opportunities ?
