Dassel-Cokato Public Schools is seeking a Speech/Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide services to students in our district. The SLP will be responsible for planning and implementing and monitoring the effectiveness of speech/language therapy services to support student?s communication development and participation in the education environment. The ideal candidate is collaborative, student-centered, and experienced in working with learners in an educational setting. Duties Provide direct and indirect speech and language services to students ages PreK-12 in accordance with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs). Participate in the development, review, and revision of IEPs in collaboration with teachers, families, and other team members. Implement evidence-based therapy interventions to address students? speech, language, fluency, and communication needs. Consult with classroom teachers and support staff to integrate communication goals into daily routines and classroom activities. Maintain accurate records of services, progress notes, and required documentation in compliance with district and state guidelines. Communicate effectively with families regarding student progress, strategies, and home carryover activities. Maintain positive and constructive communication with staff. Collaborate with general and special education teams to support inclusive practices and student success. Maintain and report accurate student attendance and performance records. Adhere to due process timelines and complete individualized education plan and evaluation paperwork to guide educational programming. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities ? Ability to communicate effectively on interpersonal and group levels. ? Skilled in developing and delivering speech and language direct services to students to assist them in addressing or achieving their goals and objectives. ? Knowledge of standardized and informal diagnostic and assessment measures and/or instruments used in the identification and evaluation of speech language development and/or disorders.
