POSITION: Summer Camp Teacher - Grade 2 Hours: 8:00am - 4:00pm Mon-Fri from June 15-July 31 (No Camp July 3-10) Start Date: June 15, 2026 Pay: $25-$30/hour Application Deadline: May 22nd, 2026 Breakaway Academy, Chaska, MN PROFILE AND DESCRIPTION: Bachelor?s Degree in Education or higher (Will consider those in final year of education programs) Ability to teach and manage a class of 15-18 elementary students (incoming 2nd grade) in Math, Reading, and STEM. No homework, tests, or grading. Willingness to work with and share with colleagues for planning purposes. Shared Drive with previous year''s curriculum available to all teachers. Enjoys spending time with elementary age students! Breakaway Academy is a private K-8 athletics academy during the school year, with a focus on small class sizes, rigorous curriculum, relationships, character development, and athletic activity. Our summer camp is a six week program open to the public, where students going into Grades K-4 receive three hours of academic enrichment in math, reading, and STEM daily, while also participating in two hours of athletic activity each day. Our summer camp teachers are responsible for managing and guiding their class in academic enrichment time, and receive two prep hours each day.
