The Position We are seeking a dedicated, faith-filled teacher to join our team for the 2026?2027 school year. This position covers grades 5?10, and we are genuinely flexible about how responsibilities are divided. We want to find the right person first, and then shape the role around their strengths. For example: If you love high school, we can arrange for you to focus on grades 8?10 while the current teacher covers grades 5?7. If you have strong subject-area passions ? say, math or science ? you could teach that subject across both levels while the current teacher covers other subjects. We believe the best teaching happens when teachers are doing what they love. We will figure out the details together. Duties & Responsibilities Day-to-day responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: Instruction & Planning Develop and maintain weekly lesson plans aligned with curriculum goals and Christian worldview Create original assignments, projects, quizzes, and assessments appropriate for each grade level Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of students across multiple grade levels in the same classroom Integrate Biblical faith and Christian values naturally into daily instruction Classroom Management Maintain a structured, respectful, and Christ-centered classroom environment Establish and uphold clear expectations for student behavior and academic effort Address student needs, conflicts, and challenges with patience and consistency Grading & Reporting Grade assignments, tests, and projects in a timely manner with meaningful feedback Maintain accurate attendance and grade records throughout the school year Prepare and issue quarterly report cards Communicate regularly with parents regarding student progress, concerns, and celebrations Curriculum & Collaboration Participate in curriculum selection and review, with input welcomed based on your teaching style and subject strengths Collaborate with the administrator on school-wide scheduling, events, and academic planning Contribute ideas for school culture, enrichment activities, and student development General School Duties Attend staff meetings, parent-teacher conferences, and school events Supervise students during non-instructional times as needed Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming classroom space Support the school?s mission and represent Pinewood Academy with integrity in the community What We?re Looking For Required: A sincere, active Christian faith ? you will be asked to provide a brief personal faith statement A bachelor?s degree in any field Experience working with children or youth in any capacity ? classroom, church, camp, coaching, Sunday school, or even homeschooling your own children. Duties & Responsibilities

Day-to-day responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

Instruction & Planning

  • Develop and maintain weekly lesson plans aligned with curriculum goals and Christian worldview

  • Create original assignments, projects, quizzes, and assessments appropriate for each grade level

  • Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of students across multiple grade levels in the same classroom

  • Integrate Biblical faith and Christian values naturally into daily instruction

Classroom Management

  • Maintain a structured, respectful, and Christ-centered classroom environment

  • Establish and uphold clear expectations for student behavior and academic effort

  • Address student needs, conflicts, and challenges with patience and consistency

Grading & Reporting

  • Grade assignments, tests, and projects in a timely manner with meaningful feedback

  • Maintain accurate attendance and grade records throughout the school year

  • Prepare and issue quarterly report cards

  • Communicate regularly with parents regarding student progress, concerns, and celebrations

Curriculum & Collaboration

  • Participate in curriculum selection and review, with input welcomed based on your teaching style and subject strengths

  • Collaborate with the administrator on school-wide scheduling, events, and academic planning

  • Contribute ideas for school culture, enrichment activities, and student development

General School Duties

  • Attend staff meetings, parent-teacher conferences, and school events

  • Supervise students during non-instructional times as needed

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming classroom space

  • Support the school’s mission and represent Pinewood Academy with integrity in the community
