Start Your Online Application Now Date Closing: 06/01/2026 Elementary Classroom Teacher (26-27 School Year Only) Position Available: 1.0 FTE Elementary Classroom Teacher (1-Year position for the 2026-2027 School Year Only) Location: Foley Elementary School is a preK-3 primary school with 620 students and approximately 100 faculty and staff members Start Date: August 25, 2026 Essential Functions: Develops and administers the elementary school curriculum in alignment with district goals and objectives. Promotes a classroom environment that is safe and conducive to individualized and small group instruction, fostering student learning. Creates lesson plans and instructional materials, translating them into engaging learning experiences to optimize available instructional time. Conducts ongoing assessments of student learning, adapting instructional methods to individual student needs, including those with special requirements. Continuously acquires professional knowledge by attending seminars, workshops, or professional meetings to stay updated on current developments in education. Organizes and maintains an accurate system for record-keeping, grading, and reporting following district procedures. Encourages parental involvement in students'' education and ensures effective communication with students and parents. Establishes and maintains standards of pupil behavior to achieve a functional learning atmosphere in the classroom. Coordinates with other elementary professional staff members, evaluates curriculum, and actively participates in faculty meetings and committees. Supervises students during the school day in activities outside the classroom, including those involving school transportation. Administers standardized tests in accordance with district testing programs.
