It is a cozy agricultural community with easy access to Albert Lea, Mankato, Sioux Falls, South Dakota, and the Iowa Great Lakes region. Though currently spread across three buildings within 7 miles of each other, voters have approved construction of one new school building located just off I-90 in Sherburn. We will break ground on the new building in spring 2025 and expect to open the new school in the fall of 2027. There are many opportunities to coach and advise extra- and co-curricular activities. Position Details: Full-Time Special Education Teacher at Trimont Elementary School JOB DUTIES: Plan and implement Special Education services according to students'' Individual Educational Plan. Enforce classroom and school rules, observe and evaluate student performance, conduct testing, grade homework and tests, and keep families updated on their children''s progress towards their Individual Educational Plan goals . JOB LOCATION: Martin County West Schools - Trimont Elementary QUALIFICATIONS: Minnesota Teacher Licensure in Special Education or Elementary Education CONTRACT: 2026-2027 School Year SALARY: Starting salary based on Master Agreement and experience, prorated to start date. (Base pay $48,200) Plus fringe benefits PHYSICAL JOB REQUIREMENTS: Light Work Frequent lifting or carrying of objects weighing no more than 10 punds at a time and occasionally lifting or carrying articles like files, ledgers, and small tools. A good deal of walking and standing are required. Sitting, talking, listening, seeing, and using and reaching with hands are required continuously.
