Responsibilities include working closely with the Athletic Department to organize and administrate all phases of the program. The successful candidate must have demonstrated knowledge of NFHS and MSHSL rules; high ethical standards; demonstrated commitment to academics; demonstrate a background of awareness and concern for chemical usage and other habits of personal health and responsible behavior and be able to act as a sports and citizenship model; excellent organizational and administrative skills; be willing and prepared to involve and work with parents, and support groups; demonstrated successful coaching experience; success in developing student-athletes in an athletic program committed to academic and athletic excellence; be responsible for coordination of sport in terms of organizations, continuity, inspiration, cooperation, leadership, goals and objectives of the program. Knowledge and experience necessary to coach the sport. Desirable Qualifications : Willingness to devote time to the program, dependability and responsibility; able to travel with the team. Knowledge of soccer, past coaching experience preferred. Stipend Amount: $4,921 per 25-27 DFT contract, 27-29 amounts are TBD FOR HEAD SPORT COACHES ONLY : If you do not currently meet the State Statute Requirement (SSR) to be a head coach in Minnesota, you will be directed to the Minnesota Coaches Education Program tab on the Coaches Clipboard page. This is a 6-hour in person course and includes additional on-line modules that must be completed per the state law. The cost of this course is $200.
