Position: On-Call Event Support Specialist Location: District Wide Start Date: ASAP Job Description: Rock Ridge Community Education is seeking a reliable and proactive On-Call Event Support Specialist to assist with light site management duties during scheduled events. This role is ideal for individuals who thrive in a flexible, part-time position and are committed to ensuring the success and safety of community programs. Key Responsibilities: Serve as the on-site contact during scheduled events, ensuring smooth operations and addressing immediate needs as they arise. Perform light custodial tasks, including tidying event spaces, managing trash, and ensuring facilities are presentable before and after events. Secure the building after events, including locking doors, turning off lights, and verifying that all participants have exited the premises. Assist with basic setup and teardown tasks, such as arranging tables and chairs or light equipment. Respond promptly to any facility-related issues during events, escalating concerns when necessary. Ensure compliance with safety protocols and guidelines, creating a secure environment for all attendees. Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and move objects weighing up to 50 pounds. Ability to perform light physical tasks such as bending, reaching, and standing for extended periods. Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Strong communication and problem-solving skills. Dependable and able to work independently with minimal supervision. Flexible availability, including evenings and weekends as needed. Hours and Compensation: This is an on-call position with a maximum of 13.75 hours per week. Hourly rate $20-$25 / Hour.
