Start Your Online Application Now Date of Availability: 08/10/2026 Date Closing: Until Filled Sibley East School District Dean of Students Job Posting Position: Dean of Students (1.0 FTE) Status: At-Will, exempt Reports to: Building Principal Sibley East School District is seeking an motivated and innovative individual to join the MS/HS leadership team as an At-Will employee. Sibley East MS/HS is a 6-12 setting that serves 530+ students. Under the supervision of the building principal, the Dean of Students will provide student social, emotional, behavioral, and academic support while promoting a positive school climate and culture. This position will work with students, staff, and families to create proactive systems of support that encourage both academic and behavioral success. The Duties of the Dean of Students will include: Establish and maintain student control and discipline throughout the building and school premises by communicating expectations and appropriate behavior. In cooperation with the building principal, handle the day-to-day functions of discipline. Mediate student-to-student conflicts. Communicate with staff, certified and non-certified. Communicate with parents, principal, student support staff, and outside agencies regarding academics and behavior. Maintain accurate and complete attendance records including truancy filing, and attend truancy diversion meetings. Comply with district and county guidelines regarding educational neglect and/or truancy Serve as Administrative Representative at IEP meetings, a member of the Crisis Response Team, and MTSS team. Support curriculum implementation. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications: Required: Current/Valid Minnesota Teaching License Minimum of three (3) years of teaching experience Evidence of highly effective student management Evidence of leadership abilities - Experience working with leadership teams Preferred: Administrator license or current participation in Admin. licensure program Experience working with diverse groups of students. Previous course work/training in the areas of conflict management, restitution, special needs students, student management, creative problem solving, and/or small group dynamics. Desire to continue developing leadership skills - Growth Mindset Salary and Benefits: $70,000 - $80,000 (Depending on Qualifications) and a competitive benefits package. Qualifications:

Required:

Salary and Benefits: $70,000 - $80,000 (Depending on Qualifications) and a competitive benefits package.
