Faithful Shepherd Catholic School provides music education across all grades, ensuring that all students have a basic foundation for both music appreciation and creative participation. The program includes vocal and instrumental elements, along with musical notation for composition and sight reading. Our full-time music teacher collaborates with grade level teachers in planning and preparing students for liturgical music participation, and with our Grade 5-8 Band Director. Teacher applicants best suited to our school will be energetic, creative, and skilled with hands-on interdisciplinary approaches to student engagement. Our faculty nas many experienced mentor teachers. We are seeking a competent musician whose enthusiasm for receiving, enjoying, creating and performing music can be conveyed to young students and whose skill in these areas can help them to achieve the same. Preferred candidates will be licensed music educators who also bring their own accomplished music practice.
