Summary The Digital Learning and Device Support Specialist, under the Director of Technology, ensures students and staff have access to the digital tools and devices necessary for learning. The role supports student devices, classroom technology, and learning applications, while providing training to enhance instructional technology use. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Student & Staff Device Support: Technical support for Apple Mac laptops, iPads, and classroom technology. Digital Learning Application Support: Assist with Schoology, Seesaw, LiFT, library systems, and other educational apps. Work with district teaching and learning teams to determine and implement applications to students and staff. Manage application licensing, contracts and legal requirements. LMS Administration: Backend setup and smooth access for LMS platforms. Device & Systems Management: Deployment, inventory, management, device repairs, documentation, billing and mobile device management (e.g., Jamf). Maintain inventory of equipment and supplies. Management of equipment assignments and life cycle management. Training & Professional Development: Provide tutorials, guides, and training for staff. Work Request & Documentation Management: Process support requests, track resolutions, maintain documentation. Assessment Support: Support digital assessments on iPads and other devices. Print Shop Support: Assist with District Printshop Operations Qualifications Strong knowledge of Apple OS, iPads, and classroom technology. Experience with Jamf or similar mobile device management systems. Familiarity with LMS platforms (Schoology, Seesaw, LiFT). Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills. Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities. Commitment to student-centered digital learning. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Preferred: Associate degree + 2+ years supporting multi-platform technology (Mac OS X, Windows, iOS). Technology training experience for staff and students. Knowledge of cloud-based apps and basic networking. Ability to create guides, tutorials, and digital learning resources. Ability to read, interpret, and write business, technical, and professional documentation. Ability to present information and respond to questions effectively. Problem-solving, data collection, and technical instruction interpretation skills. Interpersonal and collaboration skills. Initiative and ability to work independently. Conflict resolution and organizational skills. Advanced computer skills and familiarity with educational data processing. Ability to lead team meetings and presentations. Physical Demands Sit and use hands for electronic repairs. Walk, reach, lift/move up to 50 lbs. Occasionally stand, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, work in ceiling spaces or on ladders. Salary Group Unaffiliated Position Digital Learning and Device Support Specialist Rate of Pay $60,000-70,000/year (placement determined based on experience and qualifications) Benefits Medical, Dental, Sick Leave, 403(b), Life, LTD, FSA Other Salary pro-rated based on start date.
