This position is for 3-4 days per week, 8 hours per day from September 1 to October 30. We value our staff and believe they have a great influence on a child''s life. We''re looking for candidates who have a positive outlook, will connect with staff and students, and who are dedicated and enthusiastic about making a difference for our students and community. Job Objective: Provide direct and indirect services to students and families. Some services and supports may be specific to the special clinical training, certification, and licensing of the particular social worker. The social worker is responsible for providing quality services as a member of a team in consultation with other agency staff. Required Qualifications/ Skills: Bachelor''s or Master''s degree in social work from an accredited college or university. Clinical trainees need to meet the qualifications for MN Statute Definition for Mental Health Practitioner - Clinical Trainee as outlined in 245i Professional licensure in the State of MN (LSW, LISW, LICSW) and a Social Worker license Strong work ethic, high ethical standards, self-confidence, good time-management skills Excellent interpersonal skills, including communication and listening skills Positive, professional, and collaborative with others Enthusiastic about working with young people Performance Responsibilities & Duties: Keep proper records and case notes Monitor and support students in maintaining satisfactory academics, engagement, and attendance progress Assess student and family needs by collecting, evaluating, and documenting information about the student''s situation, personal and family needs, and personal and family strengths Coordinate and make outreach and referrals for needed community services to best support students and their families Provide support as a liaison between families, schools, and community Provide crisis interventions and counseling as needed for students and families Provide ongoing social, emotional, and mental health support to students Provide conflict mediation and crisis management support to students and families Ability to collaborate with the FT Social Worker who will return in November Candidates are encouraged to apply as soon as possible.
