Our school district is located near the banks of Lake Waconia and approximately 25 miles west of Minneapolis, Waconia Public Schools serves approximately 4,000 students and their families from the communities of Waconia, Victoria, Minnetrista, Saint Bonifacius, and New Germany. School District facilities include an educational services and enrichment center, area learning center, three elementary schools (K-5), one middle school (6-8), and one high school (9-12). Work Schedule: Hours vary, Monday-Friday. Spring season scheduled to begin in early March 2027. Salary: Pursuant to the Waconia Education Association''s Collective Bargaining Agreement starting season stipend at $5,831 to $7,062 depending upon experience. Position Description: Under the direction of the Activities Director, the Head Girls Lacrosse Coach will instruct student-athletes in fundamental skills, strategy and physical training necessary for them to realize a degree of individual and team success. At the same time, the student shall receive instruction that will lead to the formulation of moral values, pride of accomplishment, acceptable social behavior, self-discipline, and self-confidence. The Head Lacrosse Coach will develop a comprehensive Lacrosse program that includes the following: Parental Organization/Organization of Parent Pre-Season Meeting; Working with Youth Organizations; Equipment/Uniforms; Budget; Transportation; Fundraising; Daily practice schedule; Monitor student-athletes'' academic progress; Public Relations; Staffing of lower-level and assistant coaches; Preparation and promotion of student-athletes for post high school experience. The successful candidate will possess excellent communication skills and demonstrate a recognition, interest, and respect for the needs of students. The ideal candidate will have high school high school or higher experience as a student-athlete as well as coaching experiences. Must meet MSHSL Head Coach requirements.
