SPCPA seeks an accomplished dancer, choreographer, and educator who actively maintains a professional artistic practice and demonstrates excellence in conservatory-style dance training, curriculum development, student mentorship, and performance preparation. Arts courses are 105 minutes in length and scheduled from 8:00-9:45 AM and 1:10-2:55 PM. Courses offerings may vary in length and frequency depending on availability, experience, and area(s) of expertise.

Technical Training Expectations
Candidates must demonstrate the ability to train dancers through structured progression from beginning through advanced levels.
SPCPA courses must include:
•Alignment and body awareness
• Technical vocabulary and movement fundamentals
• Strength, flexibility, and conditioning
• Musicality and rhythm
• Performance quality and stage presence
• Artistic expression
• Choreographic development
• Dance analysis and critique
• Historical and cultural contexts of dance
• Professional rehearsal and performance practices
Candidates should be prepared to submit sample syllabi, rubrics, scope and sequence documents, and evidence of student achievement.
Multi-Disciplinary Expertise
Candidates with expertise in musical theatre, directing, stage combat, directing, voice training, movement, or arts-based humanities courses are strongly encouraged to apply.
Compensation/Benefits
- $25-50 per hour depending on experience, qualifications, and course responsibilities
- Paid time for workshops, course prep, and student performances

- Some positions may be eligible for additional incentives and benefits depending on FTE
