SPCPA seeks an accomplished writer and educator who actively works in the field and demonstrates excellence in developing student voice, storytelling, and artistic inquiry. Arts courses are 105 minutes in length and scheduled from 8:00-9:45 AM and 1:10-2:55 PM. Courses offerings may vary in length and frequency depending on availability, experience, and area(s) of expertise.

Technical Training Expectations
Candidates must demonstrate the ability to train creative writers through structured progression from beginning through advanced levels.
SPCPA courses must include:
• Craft development
• Artistic voice
• Story structure
• Revision techniques
• Critical analysis
• Publication preparation
• Interdisciplinary creative exploration
Candidates should be prepared to submit sample syllabi, rubrics, scope and sequence documents, and evidence of student achievement.
Multi-Disciplinary Expertise
Candidates with expertise in musical theatre, theatre, playwriting, visual arts, storytelling, literature, musical theatre, or arts-based humanities courses are strongly encouraged to apply.
Compensation/Benefits
- $25-50 per hour depending on experience, qualifications, and course responsibilities
- Paid time for workshops, course prep, and student performances
- ESST paid leave & PFML benefits
- Retirement plan with significant employer contribution
- Some positions may be eligible for additional incentives and benefits depending on FTE
