Positions are located at the Paul Bunyan Center and Jack & Jill Preschool. Paraprofessionals support students'' academic, physical, and behavioral needs under the guidance of a special education teacher and administration. Duties range from classroom instruction to assisting with mobility and personal care. This position does not require a license, however, our paraprofessional positions require candidates to be considered "highly qualified" under the Code of Federal Regulations. This status requires: 1) At least two years of college credits through an accredited institution of higher education (60 semester credits or 90 quarter credits); or 2) An associate''s or higher degree; or 3) A passing score on a valid and reliable formal assessment demonstrating the knowledge and ability to assist with instruction in reading/language arts, writing, mathematics or readiness for each.
