Job Title: K-12 Assistant Principal Qualifications: MN Administrative License Job Summary: An assistant principal serves as the educational leader and administrator of a school building and reports to the building principal and superintendent. The elementary assistant principal''s focus areas will include special education monitoring and compliance, evaluation process, staff, due process, services, and transitions, as well as primary and preprimary grades, including assessments, transitions, academics, and behaviors. The assistant principal will assist the building principal in managing daily operations, instructional programs, curriculum development, staff supervision, budgets, and safety for academic, operational, and cultural success. The assistant principal helps build a safe, student-centered learning environment that supports high achievement, strong relationships, and continuous improvement. The assistant principal ensures compliance with Minnesota statutes, State Board of Education requirements, district policy, and federal regulations. The assistant principal must hold a valid MN administrative license and demonstrate leadership qualities, including supportive, communicative, accessible, and student-centered. License: MN Principal license required, with the addition of the MN Director of Special Education license preferred Start Date: July 1, 2026 Pay Range: $125,074 - $132,730 DOQ Benefits: This position is eligible for district benefits, which may include health insurance, dental insurance, life insurance, retirement benefits, paid leave, and other benefits in accordance with district policies and applicable labor agreements.
