Start Your Online Application Now Date of Availability: 07/01/2026 OVERVIEW OF RESPONSIBILITIES The Activity & Athletic Event Worker is responsible for supporting Nova Classical''s students with dedication, enthusiasm, adaptability, kindness, passion, and energy. Much of the work of the Activity & Athletic Event Worker consists of providing support and supervision during regularly-scheduled extracurricular events for the District. The Activity & Athletic Event Worker is employed at-will and operates as a professional within the guidelines established by Nova Classical Academy. In cooperation with Nova Classical staff and volunteers, the Activity & Athletic Event Worker works to fulfill the school''s mission in the following areas of responsibility: AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY Sell and/or take tickets for an activity/event Work equipment (e.g. scoreboard, microphone, shot clock) related to the successful operation of the assigned activity/event not limited to announcement, scoreboard, shot clock, even set up/take down, etc. Concession sales, including cash handling Building/site supervision, including but not limited to directing the general public to appropriate areas and ensuring off limits areas are not entered Maintain professionalism and deliver a positive customer service at all times Adherence to and knowledge of Nova Classical policies and procedures Other duties as assigned REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS Experience with in-person customer service Ability to operate electronic equipment Ability to receive and follow work direction Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously Strong written and verbal communication skills Adherence to MN State High School League (MSHSL), District''s Conference, and District rules and regulations Ability to maintain confidentiality with regard to student and other information Committed to professional and technical development through attendance at development activities, scheduled meetings, and relevant and/or required training DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS High School diploma or equivalent education Current or previous experience working in extracurriculars Experience as a Teacher, Educational Assistant, Paraprofessional, or Para Educator PHYSICAL DEMANDS Duties are generally performed in a gym, school building, or outdoors, where some environmental hazards and/or risks may be present Must be able to remain in a stationary position and/or walk for periods of one hour or more Frequent lifting up to 25 pounds and occasional lifting up to 40 pounds Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects in the performance of the job Must be able to exchange accurate information with students, teachers, parents, and staff Regular operation of a computer, other office machines, and extracurricular equipment as assigned Regular stooping, squatting, kneeling, reaching, bending, walking, or a combination of these Occasional or frequent standing for periods of four (4) hours or more Seasonal work outdoors in all weather conditions JOB SUMMARY The primary role of the Activity & Athletic Event Worker is to enhance the extracurricular environment for students by providing appropriate customer service and supervision; and, modeling intellectual and principled living by demonstrating character and intellectual virtues in accordance with Nova Classical Academy''s classical education tradition. SCHEDULE Part-time/On Call, Late Afternoon/Evening WAGES General/Junior Varsity (JV): $25.00 per game/match Varsity: $35.00 per game/match General Site Supervisor: $75.00/night BENEFITS The 2026 Benefits Guide outlines the employer-sponsored benefits available at Nova Classical Academy.
