Job Summary: Under the direction of the Principal and guidance of the Food Service Coordinator, Food Service Workers perform a variety of food service functions and duties depending upon the assignment of the Food Service Coordinator and the needs of the department. Duties of the job includes assisting in the panning food items; assisting in the set up of serving lines; preparing bag lunches; preparing and baking breads; preparation items such as salads, sandwiches, and fruit for alternative/ala carte lines; assists in the proper sanitation of work areas, serving areas, floors, tables, and equipment; and performing dish room duties in cleaning pans, pots, dishes, silverware.
