Start Your Online Application Now Date of Availability: 08/03/2026 Date Closing: 07/21/2026 Head Custodian Goodhue Public Schools is seeking a motivated, dependable, and skilled Head Custodian to lead the maintenance and custodial operations of our district. This position plays a vital role in providing a safe, clean, and well-maintained learning environment for students, staff, and the community as we continue Growing Good People. Responsibilities Supervise and coordinate the work of custodial staff. Maintain and operate the district''s boiler, HVAC, and building systems. Perform and oversee preventative maintenance and repairs. Ensure school buildings and grounds are clean, safe, and well-maintained. Coordinate seasonal grounds work, including snow removal and athletic field preparation. Monitor building safety systems and maintain compliance with OSHA and fire safety requirements. Maintain inventories of custodial and maintenance supplies. Recommend and coordinate annual maintenance projects. Complete staff evaluations and support the training and development of custodial staff. Qualifications A Minnesota First Class C Boiler License is preferred. Candidates who do not currently hold a boiler license but are willing to obtain one with district support are encouraged to apply. Experience in building maintenance, including basic electrical, plumbing, carpentry, HVAC, and grounds maintenance. Strong leadership, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities. Compensation Salary: $65,000?$72,000 , depending on experience and qualifications.
