The District consists of five buildings, all situated on a single, cohesive campus and serves approximately 2,800 students - Early Education Building, Primary School (K-2), Intermediate School (3-5), Middle School (6-8), and High School (9-12). Becker''s mission is to develop self-directed learners to thrive in a changing global community. Position Summary: The position is with the Early Education Department at the Early Education Center (EEC). Under the guidance of the Early Education Coordinator and the direction of the Primary School Principal, the Early Childhood Family Education (ECFE) Teacher/Early Childhood Screening Assessor is responsible for providing high-quality early childhood programming that supports the healthy development of young children and strengthens families through education, resources, and meaningful parent-child interactions. This position develops, plans, and implements developmentally appropriate learning experiences for parents and children while fostering positive relationships and promoting children''s social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development. The ECFE Teacher connects families with community resources, and creates an inclusive, engaging learning environment that supports the unique needs of each child and family. As needed, the position may also conduct home visits with families to provide individualized support, strengthen family partnerships, and connect families with appropriate resources and services. In addition, this position is responsible for conducting developmental screenings for children ages 3?5 in accordance with Minnesota Department of Education guidelines and State of Minnesota statutes and rules. The Screening Assessor works collaboratively with families and district staff to assess children''s developmental progress, identify potential areas of concern, provide families with screening results and appropriate resources, and facilitate referrals when needed. The successful candidate demonstrates a strong commitment to family engagement, child development, collaboration, and continuous professional growth while helping ensure young children enter school ready to learn and succeed. Hours range from 430?770 annually and vary based on enrollment.
