Job Title: Special Education Paraeducators / Teacher Assistants Location: Anoka-Hennepin School District Assists in providing instructional, behavioral, and personal care support to students with disabilities across various educational environments, including general education classrooms, resource rooms, and center-based programs. Duties adapt based on student age, developmental level, and individualized education plans (IEPs). Minimum Qualifications · High School Diploma or equivalent. · Must meet ONE of the following requirements (documentation required): o Completion of 60 semester or 90 quarter credits from a regionally accredited institution. o An Associate?s degree or higher. o A passing score on the ParaEducator or ParaPro exam. · Personal Care Assistant (PCA) certification (must be completed within 30 days of the start date). Rate of Pay · $20.85/hour to $24.15/hour DOQ with K-12 experience · $22.00/hour to $25.30/hour with AA/AAS degree or 60 semester/90 quarter credits from a regionally accredited institution, DOQ with K-12 experience* · $22.85/hour to $26.15/hour with BA degree from a regionally accredited institution, DOQ with K-12 experience · Special Ed Paras serving Center based students and classrooms 50 percent or more of their time shall receive an additional $0.50 per hour. · Special Ed Paras at Two Rivers Transition Program shall receive an additional $1.00 per hour.
